Experience
After being a successful classroom teacher for 5 years I became Head of English, where I led the department in achieving exam success for 4 years. I left the Head of Department role, going on to become the Local Authority advisor for English and Literacy, supporting English Departments in local schools to improve the Teaching and Learning and to support improvement in pupils' progress.After leaving the Local Authority I returned to teaching holding Senior Leadership roles, whilst continuing to teach English. I am currently Assistant Vice Principal in a large school.
I have always been judged as an excellent teacher of English. I have a track record of helping pupils to achieve above expectation in GCSE and A levels.
