Summary

I teach Science and Mathematics. I love working with my students and for me it is all about unlocking their potential and helping them to enjoy their learning. I use various learning styles and revision techniques so that students are able to access their learning in a way that suits them best.

Experience

I love teaching and really enjoy working with all of my students. I firmly believe that learning how a student learns is fundamental to helping deliver their lessons in a way that suits them best. I help my students to find out how they learn so that I can help them to make the most of our sessions. I also work hard to ensure that they feel relaxed and confident in their own abilities. Many of my students feel that they just can't access the topics they are learning, so I help give them the confidence they need.

I cover the course content as stated in the specific exam board used to a depth that is relevant to the student's needs and capabilities. Above all, I always strive to change that "I can't do it" mentality into an "I can't do it yet" state of mind. That way students are always willing to give it a go and that quickly leads on to "I can do it"! As well as the course content itself I work on exam technique, revision styles and relaxation methods to help give students a more rounded session. I also offer adult learning for maths competence and those on the QTS course.

I have a number of students who have been home tutored and have taken their Sciences and Maths solely with me. Their results have been excellent. I enjoy working with all of my students very much and am extremely proud of their achievements.

I am happy to offer a free 30 minute trial lesson so that students and parents can find out if my teaching style suits their learning style.
